Whatever happens, don't get use ASL locksmiths. I had an emergency and called them to change my lock last year. Now I need new keys (a set of keys is around £30), I contacted them a week ago by phone and email, and also put through an order for two sets on their website. They never answered my repeated emails, and I also didn't receive an order confirmation or digital receipt for my purchase. On the phone last week they told me I'd receive my keys this week on Monday, while now - on Wednesday - they say I'll get them next week. I'm considering getting my lock changed just so I never have to deal with them again. Luckily I don't need keys urgently, but if this was an emergency I would de facto be locked out of my house. Don't trust all the positive reviews, and scroll down to see more people who share experiences like mine. I also read they give you a free set of keys if you leave a 5 star review. If I could give 0 stars, I would
I contacted ASL locksmiths when I needed some work on my door (possible full replacement & increased security) & John was fast to respond to all my questions. On arrival, his colleague David gave some honest advice about the issues based on his experience and inspection - & offered a solution which was more economical, honest & fair. Such service is rare in todays world. He completed the job same day. Would highly recommend ASL for any security needs! Thank you
WHAT A RELIEF! I have just been through a stressful period where the front door to my property got damaged through a break in. I contacted so many people and it was ASL- who lived up to their name from beginning to end. The chap that came to complete the work was focused got on with job and completed it within the time frame promised. Most important he cleaned up so there was no mess or debris left. The chap did a satisfactory job on the door in order that I can resume some normality. Thanks ASL keep going (.L- Bucks...)
I can't praise ASL highly enough. The attempted break-in left my door useable short term but insecure and fragile. ASL office answered all my questions, were amazingly quick to respond, and a highly skilled fitter and accredited locksmith carried out the work, resulting in an enhanced security arrangement, a better (less drafty) fit, and matched the aesthetics required. They are in my permanent contact list for friends in need.
We called ASL 24/7 Emergency Locksmith in the middle of the night in an emergency as a family member locked themselves in the bedroom from the inside, and could not unlock the door as the lock was stuck and the key would not spin.We called a few Locksmiths and ASL were the most trustworthy and the only one to get the job done. Another Locksmith quoted £99 – and once they came to our flat, they said they would need to drill holes and damage our door and that it would now cost us £199!! So they wanted to damage our door and charge us more than what they initially quoted. Beware of scams and other dishonest locksmiths.ASL responded quickly, and arrived within 10 minutes, honoured their price quote, and got the job done quick so we could sleep. Scott was the Locksmith who was fantastic and opened our door, without damage. He was very persistent and tried multiple techniques, with various tools – he is very experienced and knew exactly what he was doing. Thank You Scott!!Highly recommend ASL – their prices are fare, their service is quick, and they are honest and professional. Five Star!
I had to call ASL out in an emergency to repair a front door, they responded quickly, got someone out to do the work that evening who did a really good job, and charged a reasonable price for the work given it was short notice and urgent. I was really pleased with the service and quality of the work.
Rip-off!!!One of the guy took 164 ponds for an emergency key open service. After that, I received a receipt and i knew that was actually 140 pounds. Also, when I tried to pay by card, they asked my card number and password. Because they didn’t have payment machine. Fortunately, I had enough cash at that moment, so I just lost 24 pounds but if I didn’t have it and if I paid by card, maybe they stole more.I highly recommend to use other companies.
The police broke into my door without reason and said it is my responsibility to fix it, and they will compensate me! A nightmare! So called these guys on Monday, worries would take a while, but I was amazed about the response as on same day they asked me to send some pictures, so which they replied with the options, we agreed which one, and following day my door has been replaced to high standards, and I could not be happier with the service and the door itself!Everything was done to minimise any inconvenience for myself, all questions asked with a big smile, nothing was too much for them, and attention to details! What can I say? My nightmare turned into sweet dreams!Thank you guys, couldn’t have asked for more!Anybody out there needing a door or other locksmiths services, this is the people you want to help you, I mean it!Thank you again!
The service was efficient however we were charged £300 for replacing a door handle. Wish we knew the price prior.Update and rely to the serive provider’s rely:As mentioned, the service was efficient. All I‘m saying is we should have checked the price prior. A bit more details:1. The emergency service was called at 6pm and the engineer arrived around 7pm.2. The service was simply replacing the broken handle to a spare handle (not new) to get in the room. No key replacement
Excellent service. Needed a replacement door and locks in an emergency and they were there within an hour. New door fitted, all furniture replaced and great new locks. Just ordered some extra keys and again, easy and efficient to do.
I had to order some extra keys for the entrance door of my building and as I wasn't sure whether I can just order them or it needs to be arranged by the managing company of the building, I cald ASL on a Sunday to check. They called me back, asked a few questions and explained exactly what I need to do. Very professional and fast service
